Download GhostReader 1.6.6 or 1.6.8

Upgrading from TextParrot 1.0: Download GhostReader 1.6.6 and install the new voices as well as the GhostReader application. Activate GhostReader with your TextParrot activation code. Delete the TextParrot application.

Upgrading from GhostReader 1.5.1 or earlier: Download GhostReader 1.6.6 and drag and drop it over your old GhostReader to replace the old version. Download and install the new voices. Version 1.6.6 is a free upgrade.

Upgrading from GhostReader 1.6.5: Download GhostReader 1.6.6 or 1.6.8 and drag and drop it over your old GhostReader to replace the old version. There is no need to download the voices again. This is a free upgrade.

GhostReader is localized in English, French, Italian and German but can be used with many different languages. Voices for one or more languages are included in the GhostReader price (the number of languages included depends on whether you purchase the monolingual, bilingual, or trilingual version).

Fully-functional demos
GhostReader is available as a fully-functional try-before-you-buy demo that runs for 15 days (which do not have to be consecutive) giving you plenty of time to evaluate the product. If you like GhostReader you can purchase it to get an activation code to unlock it.

Installing multiple languages
To install multiple languages you download each of the languages you want. You then install them one by one using the voice installers included on each disk image. Each installer will add its languages (won't replace previously installed languages).

About uninstalling
If you want to uninstall, use the uninstaller included in the ConvenienceWare Voices folder on any disk image containing voices (or here as a zip file). The uninstaller will ask for your admin password. It will remove all installed voices and afterwards you can selectively re-install voices using the voice installer(s). As the GhostReader application itself is installed by dragging it into the Applications folder you can just as easily remove it by dragging it from the Applications folder into the trash.

Looking for system-wide voices?
The ConvenienceWare voices only work in the ConvenienceWare applications that have been licensed to use those voices. If you need system-wide voices that can be used in any Mac speech using application including TextEdit, Preview, VoiceOver and, of course, GhostReader you should take a look at the Infovox iVox and GhostReader bundle which includes system-wide voices.
